The Endless Dream

I awaken from an endless dream
My head is spinning all around
I steadily try to gradually stand
Yet my feet cannot feel the ground
The air, you see is strong with death
Within the silence my heart doesn’t pound
I walk my feet down to the door
Where the stench of death abounds
I slowly touch the great wood door
When a cold feeling surrounds
I crumble to my knees in pain
My head splits wide from sounds
I look around in fear of death
As shadows turn to mounds

I long once my for endless sleep
Again for light of day
For no more silly apparitions
I wish to go away
And yet I see no rescue here
Just a painful dark display
I quickly beat my broken heart
In frantic disarray
I weep unto the loneliness
Through a pain called “betray”

As I sat there weeping
A light slowly came to me
Where once the shadows did abound
Now once again I see
I look into the bright warm light
And here one soft decree
As once single hand emerges
To gently touch my cheek
It’s the woman of my endless dream
She’s only here for me
And where once there was sorrow
Now once again I’m free

So, gentle friends, I beg you now
Don’t be such fearful blokes
Remember still your endless dream
For it shall give you hopes
She will always guide you through
And over your steep slopes
